Nose for a Cause organization offers specialty training in detection and search dogs for wildlife protection, environmental conservation, ecological surveys and civilian protection. Our dogs are highly trained to detect and indicate the scent of wildlife scat, wild animal carcasses, toxic substances, lost persons in wilderness and disaster areas as well as other products of human and animal origin.
Why Nose for a Cause?
The inspiration behind Nose for a Cause stems from our team’s ethics and dog training passion. The years of experience and expertise in dog training combined with our fascination around dog olfactory capabilities met our environmental and humanitarian awareness in which we have been actively contributing as volunteers for decades. Our aim is to raise dogs that are excited to learn and work alongside humans. This is the most important step in creating a strong-willed partner that works with happiness and enthusiasm. Our philosophy lies with the use of dogs in our everyday life; from pet and companion dogs, to service, canine sporting, detection and search dogs, we believe in the power of the partnership between dogs and humans. Pioneering Detection and Searching Dogs in Greece. We wish to enhance Greece’s technical brilliance in the training of specialized detection and search dogs as well as provide support and skill building in Greek institutions and volunteer groups for human and wild animal protection. Furthermore we aim to familiarize the use of working dogs in everyday life for the benefit of humans and wild animals as well as educate people on the significance of the working dog.
